DUBUQUE, Iowa (KWWL) — Indivisible Dubuque is sponsoring the 3rd annual Dubuque Women’s March next Saturday, January 19.
The event will be help indoors at the newly renovated Steeple Square at 105 15th St. in Dubuque from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Indivisible Dubuque wants to celebrate woman and the knowledge of woman’s rights. They say speakers will give guests new knowledge and actions they can use to become actively involved in the community. Men are also invited and encouraged to attend.
Some speakers at the event include State Senator Pam Jochum, State Representative Elect Lindsay James, County Supervisor Ann McDonough, Caprice Jones from the Fountain of Youth, Megan Ruiz from the Lantern Center, ErinOgborn from the Tri State Islamic Center, and representatives from Moms Demand Action, as well as possible surprise speakers.
Steeple Square is handicap accessible at the east door, and there will be chairs set up for those who need them. Parking will be available at the DB & T Bank lot and street parking is without meters.
