Linn County authorities search for inmate who failed to return from furlough

LINN COUNTY, Iowa (KWWL) – The Linn County Sheriff’s Office says an inmate failed to return from a court-ordered furlough on Wednesday.

Authorities are searching for Jason Mally, who was due back at the Linn County Correctional Center at 3 p.m. on Wednesday after being released at 9 a.m. for the furlough. Mally is serving time stemming from charges of Driving While Barred and Possession of a Controlled Substance. He is about six feet tall and weighs around 215 pounds.
