SOMERS, Wisconsin (NBC) – Today marks day two of a destruction process in Kenosha County, Wisconsin, where cranes are chipping away at the roof of the deteriorating home.
The house suspends 50-feet over Lake Michigan after erosion wiped out the cliff. In 2018, the homeowners moved out after their porch fell into the lake.
Last month the house’s foundation and basement also plummeted into the lake and it has been hanging further and further off the cliff.
Contractors estimate it would take hundreds of thousands of dollars to save.
