Coralville Mayor will seek re-election

CORALVILLE, Iowa (KWWL)— Coralville Mayor John Lundell announced today that he will seek re-election to a fourth term. Lundell is completing his sixth year as mayor after serving on the Coralville City Council for ten years.

Lundell says he is seeking another term as mayor to continue the positive direction of the city and ensure that Coralville continues to be a community its citizens are proud to call home. Lundell noted that Coralville’s friendly spirit and willingness to partner have encouraged many businesses to locate or expand in the community. Lundell is particularly proud of the expanding Iowa River Landing District including the Xtream Arena that will be completed a year from now.

Lundell currently serves as Chair of the Clear Creek Watershed Coalition and is Immediate Past President of the Iowa League of Cities. He also serves on the National League of Cities Federal Advocacy Committee on the Environment, Energy, and Natural Resources.

Election day is November 5.
