Dubuque police investigating after man shot in the back

DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Dubuque Police Department responded to 515 Pickett Street for a shooting.

When officers arrived on scene at W. 16th and Cornell St , they say they found 18-year-old Randy F. Jackson, who had been shot in the back. Jackson was taken to Mercy Hospital, and his injuries are considered to be not life-threatening.

Officers also found bullet holes in the siding and windows at 515 Pickett Street.

Dubuque Police say they know who the other teenager who allegedly fired the shot is. When he’s arrested, the juvenile will be  charged with three felonies.

Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon – Class C Felony
Reckless Use of Firearm causing Bodily Injury – Class D Felony
Going Armed with Intent – Class D Felony
