Daughter pleads for public’s help in mother’s disappearance

WATERLOO, Iowa (KWWL) – Sharla Davis, a Waterloo woman, has been missing since Saturday, according to her daughter.

Angel Dunton says she received a call Sunday from her mother’s landlord, saying her mother’s apartment was unlocked with her keys, purse, and phone inside.

Dunton says her mother has a history of mental illness but also that her mother claimed a man recently raped her. She says police intend to question that man. Major Joe Leibold with Waterloo Police said they don’t comment on investigatory details at this time.

Anyone with information on Davis is encouraged to call Waterloo Police or the Cedar Valley Crime Stoppers.
