CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KWWL) — Democratic presidential hopefuls descended onto Cedar Rapids Sunday for the largest gathering of candidates so far in the 2020 race.
The 2019 Iowa Democrats Hall of Fame was held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Cedar Rapids.
Nineteen of the candidates were each given five minutes to separate themselves from the others on the campaign trail.
Each one shared something different; for some it was personal stories, others shared what they were willing to fight for. Many, if not all of the candidates, mentioned President Donald Trump in their speeches.
Former Vice President Joe Biden was not in attendance Sunday. Biden is a front runner in many polls currently.
