Bomb threat causes Iowa gas station to close for several hours

HARTFORD, Iowa – There was a bomb threat at an Iowa gas station this morning. Warren County Sheriff Deputies were called to the Git-N-Go station around 7:30 a.m.

They say there was a possible suicidal man with explosives in his pickup truck. Police found propane tanks connected to batteries with electric tape.

They say the investigation is ongoing. There is no further threat to the public and the gas station was reopened around 10:30 a.m.
