Silver Oaks subdivision requests to be annexed in Dubuque

DUBUQUE, Iowa (KWWL) – A request has been filed to the City of Dubuque to annex the Silver Oaks subdivision into their city limits.

More than a hundred acres of land has been requested to be annexed into the City of Dubuque. Silver Oaks is located by the intersection of U.S. 61 and 151; further south than any other development within the city limits.

However, the opening of the Southwest Arterial is expected to boom growth in the area. And developers are interested in using the city’s utilities.

The Dubuque City Council will hold a public meeting on June 3 to further discuss the annexation request.
