Washington Governor Jay Inslee to tour flood-damaged Davenport

Davenport (KWWL) — On Wednesday, May 15, Washington Governor Jay Inslee will be in Davenport to look at flood damage.

Inslee announced his 2020 Democratic presidential run in March 2019.

While in Davenport, Inslee will meet with elected leaders, visit affected community members and tour flood-damaged areas.

“I look forward to hearing from Davenport residents about how the flooding has impacted their community. We must take action now to fund disaster recovery and to protect communities like Davenport from the impacts of climate change,” said Inslee.

His Davenport flood tour begins at 9:30 a.m.

This trip marks Inslee’s second trip focused on flooding; he visited Hamburg in April.
