FAYETTE COUNTY, Iowa (KWWL) — Over 2,000 chickens are dead after a semi rollover in Fayette County.

The accident happened around 2 a.m. Tuesday on Highway 18 near West Union.

Deputies say 44-year-old Tony Raske was driving a semi full of 5,000 chickens, when he lost control of the semi.  Nearly half the chickens were killed.  Raske and a passenger, noted to be a child, were both treated for minor injuries.
