Iowa City Police urging safe train track crossing after accident

IOWA CITY, Iowa (KWWL) — Iowa City Police are urging people not to cross train tracks in undesignated areas.

This comes after pictures were sent to the department by a concerned citizen after an Iowa City train accident happened just two weeks ago.

The picture shows two people, wearing backpacks climbing between two rail cars.

The department sent the message out on Facebook and included railroad safety tips for parents.
