Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Iowa invites community to Bowl for Kids’ Sake

WATERLOO, Iowa (KWWL) – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Iowa has a lot of exciting things going on.  They have a new Executive Director, a new logo and are just weeks away from their signature fundraiser, Bowl for Kids’ Sake.

Each year half a million people across America come together to have fun and raise money to support Big Brothers Big Sisters as we change how children grow up! Bowl For Kids’ Sake is the perfect way for individuals to make an impact on our community – it only takes a little bit of effort to raise the money that is vital to our program’s success.

THE BASICS

1.RESERVE YOUR LANES
Register your team for one of the dates below.

2.FORM TEAMS OF UP TO 6.
Get together with your co-workers or friends!

3. SIGN UP BOWLERS
Keep a list or ask bowlers to register online.

4. GATHER DONATIONS
Send emails to reach your fundraising goal of $75
($300 for a team of 6)

5. BOWL AND HAVE FUN
Show up to the bowling alley at your scheduled time!

**THE VIP EXPERIENCE**
– Any team in Black Hawk County that raises $1,200 or more.

  • Any team in Bremer County that raises $1,000 or more.

This includes:
-Express check-in
-1 raffle ticket per team member
-Complimentary pitcher of beer or soda
-BBBS swag
-Concierge service

There will be four Bowl for Kids’ Sake events in the area.  They are as follows:

1. Thursday, May 9, 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. – Maple Lanes, Waterloo – Sign-up by clicking here.
2. Thursday, May 16, 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. – Waverly Bowl Inn, Waverly – Sign-up by clicking here.
3. Friday, May 17, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. – Maple Lanes, Waterloo – Sign-up by clicking here.
4. Saturday, May 18, 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. – Waverly Bowl Inn, Waverly – Sign-up by clicking here.
