JESUP, Iowa – This is an Iowa story that will make you smile! There is a place in Jesup dedicated to rescuing and taking care of corgis.

It’s called the Corgwyn Rehabilitation Sanctuary, and they say corgis have been their sole focus for the last eight years.

On their Facebook Page, it says, ” Hello, my name is Brett Butler and for 30 years I have been rescuing and rehabilitating dogs for placement with new families. The last 8 years, corgis have been my sole focus. Corgis are such amazing, fun, smart, cute, energetic & challenging kids; they just won my heart. We corgi lovers know the addiction is real.

Over time my home has emerged as an unofficial corgi sanctuary and rehab,

whereby corgi rescuers nationwide bring corgis to me. I am very grateful to have their trust, and the ability to provide this service. My pack and I have built a solid reputation as we focus on helping corgis heal their spirits, resolve behavior issues, and repair trust. It’s a team effort of rescuers, my personal 5 corgis, and the numbers of corgis who rotate in and out of my home. Consequently, I now have some corgis who will never leave due to issues. They function well in the structure of our pack, but we are unsure we can ever rehome them.”
