UPDATE: Dubuque police identify victim in stabbing

Dubuque (KWWL) — Officers say a man has been stabbed at a Dubuque home.

The stabbing happened at a home on Francis Street.

There is no word on any possible suspects.

UPDATE: Dubuque Police have released the name of the man stabbed overnight.

Police say Dustin McGonigle, 19, of Dubuque, was found with a stab wound to his stomach.

McGonigle says he got into a fight with another person, that’s when he was stabbed.

McGonigle has been released from the hospital and was arrested on a warrant for Failure to Appear.

Police say this wasn’t a random act.

The stabbing is under investigation.
