Duke basketball star blows out shoe, injures knee

(NBC)— Duke star and consensus number one overall pick, Zion Williamson’s first game in the rivalry with North Carolina ended much earlier than expected.

In the opening moments of the game, Williamson tries to cut when his shoe malfunctions and splits apart. This caused him to lose balance and crash to the floor, clutching his right knee.

Williamson limped off the court and headed back to the locker room.

Duke head coach, Mike Krzyzewski said Williamson has a sprained knee and will be out for an undetermined amount of time.
