Iowa gas prices increase nearly 4 cents a gallon in past week

Gas prices in Iowa have increased 3.8 cents per gallon in the past week, to an average of $2.15 a gallon.

GasBuddy’s weekly report states, the national average has gone up 0.7 cents in the last week, and now averages $2.28 a gallon.

Prices Sunday were 43.7 cents a gallon lower than one year ago, according to GasBuddy, and 9.4 cents per gallon higher than one month ago. During the last month, the national average has increased 3.1 cents per gallon.

GasBuddy finds prices in the region as follows:

Quad Cities- $2.07/g, up 2.1 cents per gallon from last week’s $2.05/g.
Des Moines- $2.39/g, up 8.3 cents per gallon from last week’s $2.31/g.
Omaha- $2.15/g, up 3.4 cents per gallon from last week’s $2.11/g.
