CEDAR FALLS, Iowa American Idol Winner and Clarksville native Maddie Poppe took the stage for a performance in Cedar Falls tonight.

It was her first time performing in the Cedar Valley since her big win. It was all for a great cause!

Poppe is on her holiday break right now, so she agreed to perform in a benefit concert tonight at the Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center. This is all to help UNI’s Dance Marathon raise money.

Poppe and Dance Marathon partnered to raise money for the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital.

Dance Marathon is hoping to raise $620,000 this year, more than they’ve ever raised before.

Their 12 hour dance is in March. That’s when the total amount of money raised will be announced.
