HOMECOMING SURPRISE: Volunteers build new deck for Parkersburg soldier

Volunteers in Parkersburg built a new deck for a soldier who has been away from his family for a long time.

Army National Guard soldier James Frey just returned home after a year-old tour in Iraq.

While he was away, OnMedia, Woodruff Construction, Young Plumbing and Heating, KW Electric, and Art Van Furniture came together to build a new deck for Frey and his family.

These businesses donated all their resources and time for this project.

Darren Peak captured the moment Frey first saw the deck and returned home.
