Gov. Reynolds issues disaster proclamation for Iowa County

Governor Kim Reynolds issued a disaster proclamation Tuesday for Iowa County in response to severe storms that took place in August. 

The governor’s proclamation’s allow state resources to be utilized to respond to and recover from destruction of severe weather. The Iowa Individual Assistance Program provides grants of up to $5,000 for qualifying residents. The grant application and instructions are available on the Iowa Department of Human Services website

If you live in a county that has been impacted by recent severe weather, you are asked to report damage to help local and state officials better understand the damage sustained.
