Iowa gas prices fall slightly in past week

Iowa gas prices have fallen 0.8 cents per gallon in the past week to an average of $2.73 a gallon.

According to GasBuddy, the national average increased 1.6 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.84 per gallon.

Prices Sunday were 21.6 cents higher per gallon than one year ago, and 1.7 cents a gallon lower than one month ago. 

GasBuddy reports prices in the area as follows: 

Quad Cities- $2.73/g, up 0.4 cents per gallon from last week’s $2.73/g.
Des Moines- $2.91/g, up 0.7 cents per gallon from last week’s $2.90/g.
Omaha- $2.69/g, up 2.5 cents per gallon from last week’s $2.67/g.
