Iowa U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley added onto his long-running tradition of what has become affectionately known as the "Full Grassley" on Monday.
With a town hall meeting at the Clarke County Hospital in Osceola, Sen. Grassley completed his annual journey to all of Iowa’s 99 counties for the 38th year. Sen. Grassley first started holding public meetings in each of Iowa counties when he took office as a United States Senator in 1981. Several presidential candidates traveling to Iowa to campaign have also taken up the feat in recent years.
Sen. Grassley has been in the national spotlight this month, taking center stage during the Senate confirmation hearings for President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh as the Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Sen. Grassley celebrated completing his annual tour of the state by indulging in a Dairy Queen blizzard in Osceola on Monday.
