TODAY: La Porte City looking for volunteers to help hang blue ribbons for Jake Wilson

The La Porte City police department shared a post that says the town is looking for volunteers to help hang new blue ribbons in Jake Wilson’s honor.

They say volunteers can head to the Chamber of Commerce Welcome Center by City Hall. This is starting at 6 p.m. tonight.

Shelly Hopkins says the ribbons that are already up are, "starting to look a bit faded." She would like to replace them.

She also says, "Blue ribbons, porch lights on, shirts, bracelets, stickers……. say his name JAKE WILSON….. share his story…… we promised Jake, to not forget…."
