Credit card skimmer found on Dubuque gas pump

Dubuque police responded to a report of a suspected credit card skimmer on a gas pump Tuesday.

Employees from the Central Ave Fas Mart in Dubuque reported the device, which was found on pump 3 around 10:40 p.m Tuesday. The pump was immediately shut down by the store.

It is unknown at this time how long the skimmer was on the gas pump, or if any data was gathered by the skimmer. If you used your card at this pump recently, it is recommended that you notify your financial institution and monitor your account.

The investigation is ongoing at this time. If you have any information, you are encouraged to call the Dubuque Police Department at 563-589-4415.
