Waukon Police arrest 3 following investigation

Three men were arrested Saturday by Waukon Police. In a release, police said they were called to a disturbance in the 100 block on 1st Avenue SW early Saturday morning.

Following an investigation, police arrested Anthony K. Williams, 21 of Postville on charges of willful injury (Class D felony), assault displaying a dangerous weapon, and disorderly conduct.

Kinte L. Smith, 37 of Waukon, and Paul A. Norton, 65 of Waukon, were both charged with disorderly conduct, willful injury, and first degree burglary (Class B felony). 

Smith was also charged with harassment for making threats towards and officer.

The Waukon Police Department was assisted by the Allamakee County Sheriff’s Office and Veteran’s Memorial Hospital Ambulance Service.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation and defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
