The Dubuque Community YMCA/YWCA has announced their "Building for the Future" capital campaign to build a new facility.
“This campaign is not about a building but what happens inside the building. This facility will serve as a community center, providing gathering space for other non-profits and community groups,” said President & CEO of the Dubuque Community YMCA/YWCA, Sharon Covey.
They are hoping to raise funding through multi-year pledge commitments from businesses, foundations, families, and individuals throughout the Tri-State area.
The project is estimated to cost about $20 million.
According to project leaders, the plan is to complete the design by the end of the year.
The ground breaking is set for spring of 2019.
