Cedar Rapids (KWWL) — People in Cedar Rapids can familiarize themselves with the city’s bicycle infrastructure during the second “Ride the Districts” bike ride on Saturday, July 13.
The ride kicks off at 9 a.m., at Parking Lot 44 in New Bohemia.
Riders will learn about water trail initiatives and an upcoming kayak launch in the Czech Village Greenway.
All ages and skill abilities are welcome.
“Cedar Rapids residents benefit from the public health, economic, safety and environmental advantages of a connected bicycle network. As our network grows, more people are able to complete point A to point B trips on a bike. This ride will be a great opportunity for people who love to ride bikes to explore great facilities with which they might not be familiar,” said Brandon Whyte, multimodal transportation planner for the Corridor Metropolitan Planning Organization.
Whyte will lead the ride.
