WATERLOO, Iowa (KWWL) – LME, Inc. announced they were closing without reason to their employees, and shutdown the next day.

LME has five locations across the state of Iowa. The company is known for its delivery services all over the Midwest.

On the homepage of the LME website is a closing statement saying, “Due to unforeseen circumstances” they’ve ceased operations.

The former employees KWWL have talked with say they haven’t heard why.

“I have gotten no response at all from anybody, basically its just you’re done company’s closed end of story,” says LME Truck Driver Rick Kruse.

Kruse and another driver, Tyler Behrends, say they haven’t gotten paid for nearly a month. This goes along with some benefit,s such as a 401k, that are inaccessible at this time.

“More panic right off the bat for me,” says Behrends. “Because I was right up with bills thinking I got a family to support.”

Kruse’s wife also works for LME, now they are both unemployed.

KWWL has not heard a direct response from LME for a statement on the matter.
