Iowa gas prices fall 4.3 cents a gallon in past week

Iowa gas prices have fallen 4.3 cents per gallon in the past week, to an average of $2.56 a gallon.

According to GasBuddy’s weekly report, prices in Iowa are 11.2 cents per gallon lower than a month ago, and 21.1 cents a gallon lower than one year ago.

The cheapest gas in Iowa is $2.16 a gallon.

GasBuddy reports the national average has fallen 6.2 cents per gallon in the last week to roughly $2.67 a gallon. The national average is down 19.3 cents per gallon from one month ago.

GasBuddy finds prices in the region as follows:

Quad Cities- $2.58/g, down 8.7 cents per gallon from last week’s $2.67/g.
Des Moines- $2.75/g, down 3.8 cents per gallon from last week’s $2.79/g.
Omaha- $2.50/g, down 11.5 cents per gallon from last week’s $2.62/g.
