(NBC) — Starting April 22, Target is hosting its popular car seat trade-in event.
Target will accept any used car seat including infant seats, convertible seats, car seat bases and car seats that are expired or damaged.
The event runs through May 4.
In exchange for the car seat, Target will give people a 20 percent off coupon toward a new car seat, stroller or select baby home gear.
The coupon is valid in-store and online through May 11.
The program launched in 2016. Since then, Target has recycled 500,000 car seats.
