CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (KWWL) – Cedar Falls Police have arrested a Hudson man in connection to construction site and home burglaries, as well as for forgery.

According to Police Chief Jeff Olson, authorities received reports of two burglaries at construction sites on May 28.  After an investigation, 41-year-old Ryan James Hoffer was arrested and charged on July 9 with one of the burglaries, as well as for forgery for writing checks out of another person’s account.

The case continued when, on August 7, Hoffer was charged with another construction site burglary and the burglary of a home on Leversee Rd.  The home burglary was in connection to the checking account, according to Olson.

Hoffer faces two felony counts of third-degree burglary.  He remains in the Black Hawk County Jail.
