UPDATE: 18-year-old shot and killed in Dubuque, two teen suspects in custody

UPDATE: A 14-year-old girl was also arrested in connection to the shooting death of an 18-year-old on Saturday in Dubuque.

The 18-year-old has been identified as Robert Powell-Moore.

The 14-year-old, along with a 15-year-old boy, have been charged with Voluntary Manslaughter and Carrying Weapons. Both teens remain in juvenile detention.


DUBUQUE, Iowa (KWWL) - An 18-year-old male was shot and killed Saturday evening.

Police responded to 14 Street and Central Avenue to a report of an individual suffering a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to UnityPoint Finley Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

City of Dubuque traffic cameras captured the incident and authorities located a 15-year-old male and identified him as the suspect. He was found at a residence in the 1900 block of Jackson Street and was taken into custody.

The name of the victim and suspect are not available pending next of kin notifications, and juvenile court proceedings.
