Craft cocktails fundraiser shakes off to refreshing start in helping Johnson County youth


IOWA CITY, Iowa (KWWL) -- Starting Friday, June 11, nine local restaurants begin participating in the HAVlife Johnson County's Martini Shake Off with a Twist fundraiser to help support Johnson County youth.

The fundraiser will run for one week and will end June 20.

All proceeds from the craft cocktail sales will help HAVlife's program, Prevent Lost Potential ™ by providing access to athletics, music, and arts programming for kids living in Johnson County, throu.

Participating venues and cocktails are the following:

• Hudson’s: Mango Mojito
• Mosley’s (Iowa City & North Liberty): Mojo Jojo’s Mojito
• Pullman Bar & Diner: Sage of Six Paths
• Stella: Mango Bango
• table: Lemon Cake Martini
• Tin Roost: Fire Blossom

HAVlife’s Martini Shake Off ™ is an in-person event and is a competition among local mixologists.

It is the organization’s largest fundraiser and helps it award more than $75,000 annually to Johnson County non-profits that support its mission.
