WATERLOO(KWWL)--The University of Northern Iowa Center for Urban Education held a vitual Symposium for High School Student -Athletes grades 9-11.
The Event featured coaches and administrators from Iowa State, Iowa, UNI, Upper Iowa and Wartburg. The Symposium also featured Waterloo East and Iowa State great JJ Moses who played several years in the NFL.
UNI Talent Search Director De'Carlos Anderson organized the Symposium. Anderson says he wants young student athletes to understand early that academics and developing life skills are very important components of the collegiate experience.
