w1

WATERLOO, Iowa (KWWL) - Main Street Waterloo will be hosting a Spring Sidewalk Sale and Art Walk on Friday, May 14 and Saturday, May 15 downtown Waterloo.

The non-profit hopes this event will bring together small businesses, locally-owned restaurants and those in the community for great deals and fun interaction within the local art community.

Among the highlights of the weekend will be the launch of the 'Musical Masterpieces' interactive art display. The Waterloo Center for the Arts has been collecting donated pianos and artists have transformed them into works of art. The pianos will be placed on sidewalks throughout the downtown area.

And at the RiverLoop Amphitheatre on Saturday, music will fill the air, performed by the East High School band, jazz band, chorus and orchestra. 'Arts at the Amphitheater' will run from 2 until 5 p.m.
