(KWWL) — There were 305 new, confirmed cases from 10 a.m. Wednesday to 10 a.m. Thursday, according to the state’s dashboard, bringing the state’s total number of cases to 368,773.
The state’s website says that of the 368,094 people who have tested positive, 353,564 have recovered. This is 484 more recoveries than what the state reported Wednesday.
The state is reporting five additional COVID-19 deaths, with a death toll of 5,994.
Subtracting the number of recoveries (353,564) and the number of deaths (5,994) from the total number of cases (368,773) shows there are currently 9,215 active positive cases in the state.
As of Thursday morning, there were 33 patients hospitalized in Iowa within the last 24 hours and the total number of hospitalizations is 162, which is down from 163. Of those, 42 are in the ICU (down from 43), and 19 are on ventilators (same as yesterday).
As of Noon on Wednesday, according to the state’s COVID-19 vaccine dashboard, 2,441,825 total doses have been administered to Iowa residents and 1,216,277 individuals have completed the series. This is 11,562 more completed vaccinations than Noon on Tuesday.
Black Hawk County: 489 more residents have been fully vaccinated for a total of 50,824.
Linn County: 966 more residents have been fully vaccinated for a total of 92,727.
Johnson County: 565 more residents have been fully vaccinated for a total of 72,864.
Dubuque County: 517 more residents have been fully vaccinated for a total of 43,989.
