New York City, New York (KWWL) -- Saturday evening, shots were fired in Time Square leaving three people hospitalized, including a 4-year old girl.
In an evening press conference, NYPD reported that the shooting happened right before 5p.m. after a dispute between a group of men became aggressive.
Witnesses told NYPD that the group of men were arguing, which led to one of them pulling out a gun and shooting surrounding innocent bystanders.
Those bystanders were three female victims.
One is a 23-year old woman who was hit in her thigh, and she is a tourist from Rhode Island who initially had plans to be at the Statue of Liberty, but due to closure, she went to Time Square instead.
Another victim is a 43-year old Hispanic woman from New Jersey who was shot in the foot.
And the last victim is a 4-year old Hispanic girl, who was reported shopping for toys with her family at the time of the shooting, when she was shot in the leg.
They have been taken to Bellevue Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea says they are now on a manhunt for the gunman responsible.
There is one person of interest at this time, and NYPD has posted camera footage of him on their social media pages.
NYPD is asking if anyone has any information to please come forward.
