CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KWWL) -- With more live events returning to Cedar Rapids, VenuWorks, the management company that oversees operations for the four city-owned entertainment venues, is holding a part-time job fair.

The company is looking to hire workers to staff events at the Alliant Energy PowerHouse, ImOn Ice Arena, McGrath Amphitheatre and Paramount Theatre. The job fair will be held from 4 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Alliant Energy PowerHouse.

On-site hiring will be available as the company looks to hire more than 100 part-time employees in the coming months. VenuWorks is looking to hire ushers, concessions staff, cooks, operations labor, stagehands, Zamboni drivers, ticket sellers, ice skating staff and housekeeping workers.

"The live events industry was among the first to shut down in March of 2020 and we are ready to return to full operations" Michael Silva, Executive Director of VenuWorks of Cedar Rapids said. "While we have been doing some smaller-scale events over the past year, we have not had a lot of work available for part-time staff and experienced a great amount of attrition. As large-scale events start to return to touring, we need to replace about 1/2 of our part-time work force."

Job fair attendees should bring their driver’s license and social security card. If you can't make it to the job fair, you can click here and apply online.
