CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KWWL) - Shoppers are sharing what they are thankful for on a "Wall of Gratitude" at Lindale Mall.

The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) in Linn County set up the wall for Mental Health Awareness Month.

Participants write what they are grateful for on a sticky note and add it to the wall.

Director of development for NAMI, Ian Schweiger, says they also have mental health resources and facts available.

"We have a brochure that's called 'Tell Me Where to Turn' and it has a variety of resources for people dealing with a wide variety of mental health issues," Schweiger said.

The wall is up all month and all ages can participate.

"We've had people come up and tell us either different stories or different things that they didn't want to put up there but they felt that they were really grateful for," Schweiger said.

NAMI is hosting their annual fundraiser on May 22, the NAMI Walk. This year, the event is virtual and more information can be found here.
