Waterloo-Cedar Falls Salvation Army says “thank you” to healthcare workers

WATERLOO, Iowa (KWWL) – Healthcare workers have valiantly stood on the front lines during the pandemic. The Salvation Army of Waterloo-Cedar Falls has devised a way to tell them “thank you.”

Throughout the month of April, people can purchase a small silver Angel Wing pin and note card with a personalized message for $10 from the Salvation Army. The deadline to purchase is April 23.

The pins and notes will be delivered during National Hospital Week on Friday, May 15. National Hospital Week has been around since 1953.

You can order a pin for a healthcare worker by stopping by the Salvation Army Community Center at 89 Franklin Street, Waterloo through the week: Monday-Thursday 9a.m.-12p.m. and 1-3p.m. Friday 9a.m.-12p.m. You can also click here to order online.

The money raised from the fundraiser will the programs and services of The Salvation Army to help families and individuals in need in the Cedar Valley.
