UPDATE: NWS indicates EF0 tornado damaged Cedar Rapids mobile home park

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KWWL) -- The National Weather Service says preliminary results indicate a brief EF-0 tornado caused damage to the Summit View Manufactured Homes Community.

Around 9:15 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to the 400 block of Troy Street SW, for a report of a partial roof collapse. The initial report indicated a neighbor's roof blew off and struck a mobile home. The person who called 911 said their daughter was injured by glass.

Firefighters found at least two mobile homes with wind damage. They didn't report any major injuries.

The NWS says the tornado lofted debris into a nearby field and there were maximum winds were around 85 mph.

Mid-American Energy was dispatched to the scene because there were concerns the mobile homes were slightly moved off of their foundations.

Crews did not find any gas leaks.

Other mobile homes in the area reported damage to skirting, siding and gutters.
