CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — Six men charged in a sex abuse case at a New Hampshire youth detention center have made initial court appearances. Bail hearings were delayed until Friday for four of them. A judge set bail Thursday for the other two. The hearing came the same day a seventh man was arrested in the case involving the Sununu Youth Services Center in Manchester. Supervisor Gordon Thomas Searles was charged with rape. He was accused in a lawsuit of responding to a teenager’s abuse allegations by saying, “Look little fella, that just doesn’t happen.” He is being held in Florida, and it’s unclear whether he has an attorney.
