Clayton County launches vaccine hotline & wait list to help residents get vaccinated

Vaccines

CLAYTON COUNTY, Iowa (KWWL) -- With all Iowans 16 years of age and older now eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine, the Clayton County Visiting Nurse Association is launching a centralized phone number and wait list to help get residents vaccinated.

Any resident who would like to receive a vaccine can call 563-245-2064. You will be asked to leave your name, phone number, and date of birth on the voicemail. You will then be placed on a wait list and will be contacted by vaccine providers to schedule an appointment as doses become available. If you get a busy signal, you should call back later.

Residents will not receive a call back after leaving a message until a vaccine is available for them. The county is encouraging individuals to take whichever vaccine is available at the time. The county doesn't have control over which vaccine is made available to providers or the number of doses.

Residents are asked to remain patient as it may take time to get an appointment scheduled.
