Music in the air: Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony announces live concert schedule for the summer


WATERLOO, Iowa (KWWL) - Following a rather quiet year due to the pandemic, music will fill the air once again with live audiences in attendance as the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony takes the stage this summer.
The Riverloop Amphitheatre downtown Waterloo will hold the free, physically-distanced performances. The summer season begins June 12.
The June 12 concert is part of the 2021 My Waterloo Days celebration. The concert starts at 7 p.m.
Next up, on July 3, the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony plays the music for the Mayor’s Fireworks. New this year, the symphony the orchestra will actually accompany the fireworks show. The concert begins at 8 p.m., with fireworks at 10 p.m.
The last concert on September 4 features a familiar name. KWWL's Abby Turpin will join her husband, Travis, on stage. Travis is a headliner on cruise ships and will be performing his show with the symphony with Abby joining him for some songs.
