(NBC) -- Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell warned corporations against involving themselves in issues such as Georgia's new voting law.

McConnell this morning claims that the law restricts voter access a "big lie."

"With regard to what's been done in Georgia, there's a big lie underway that somehow voter restrictions were enacted by the Georgia legislature the other day. That didn't happen. That's didn't happen. It's totally inaccurate."

This comes after several large companies have criticized the new law, with Major League Baseball going as far as to pull this year's All-Star game out of Atlanta.

McConnell also criticized a claim made by President Joe Biden, saying that the law "ends voting hours early" to punish working people.

"And the other thing I think is important is for the truth to be told, so here is the truth about the new Georgia law. The Washington Post - that bastion of conservatism we will all agree, right - gave the president of the United States four Pinocchios, four, for what he said about the new Georgia voting law. It's simply not true."
