ARKANSAS (NBC) -- After the Arkansas Governor lifted the COVID-19 statewide mandate and let business set their own coronavirus policies, one business couldn't wait any longer.
Customers gathered at the Fort Smith Brewing Company to burn their masks in celebration of the mandate being lifted.
The owner of the brewing company doesn't want people to misunderstand the mask burning event and hopes people will not forget the risks taken during the pandemic.
"Any time you let each individual make choices for themselves they can more adequately address the problems that are facing them and can make the right choices and positively create the environment that they're trying to make for their customers."Quentin Willard / Owner, Fort Smith Brewing Company.
Willard also said people should get to make their own decisions about what they feel right for them, and all customers are welcomed in his brewery, masked or not.
