DES MOINES, Iowa (KWWL) -- The Iowa Utilities Board is working with 2-1-1 Iowa to address issues some residents are experiencing in connecting with 2-1-1 Iowa.
2-1-1 Iowa is a free service linking Iowans to health and human service programs, community services, disaster services and governmental programs. The service also began providing 2-1-1 Vaccine Navigator services last week to assist Iowans with scheduling a COVID-19 vaccine appointment.
Some residents in Marion County and the 319 area code have reported issues when dialing 2-1-1 from their landline. Calls have failed to connect or resulted in an automated message that the number has been disconnected. The cause of the issue is still unknown, but the IUB is working to identify the source of the issue.
Residents who experience any issues can call the IUB Customer Service toll-free at 877-565-4450 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. The IUB is seeking customer information to track down the issue.
