WATERLOO, Iowa (KWWL) -- John Deere is holding a job fair in Waterloo this weekend, looking to fill hundreds of open positions at John Deere Waterloo Works.

The job fair will be held on Saturday from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the John Deere Tractor & Engine Museum located at 500 Westfield Avenues in Waterloo. The company currently has more than 300 openings for production and maintenance roles at the Waterloo facility.

The job opportunities are at the Tractor Cab Assembly Operations and Drivetrain Operations. Deere employees will be on hand to help prospective employees learn about available jobs and help them complete the online application process.

Deere says they're looking to hire because there is growing demand for the equipment they build including 9R, 8R, and 7R Tractors, as well as Cabs for John Deere Sprayers. They expect the increased demand to continue. Deere is looking to hire Assemblers, Welders, CNC Machinists, Electrical Machine Maintenance and Mechanical Machine Maintenance workers.

If you can't make it out to the job fair, but are still interested in applying, click here and choose USA and then select Production & Skill Trade Opportunities.
