Police contacted Eric Hayes and his current girlfriend, who were not home at the time of the fire.

During the course of the investigation, officers learned, Hayes' former girlfriend Jameka Pritchard had threatened to set the house on fire just minutes before the fire started and has threatened to kill him in the past over relationship issues.

While talking to officers, Pritchard initially denied the accusations but eventually admitted to setting the house on fire because Hayes "broke her heart."

23 year-old Pritchard is charged with Arson in the 2nd degree.

Bail is set at $100,000.
