BOSTON, Massachusetts (CNN) -- In Boston, a woman named Silvana Sanchez was out for an afternoon walk on Friday when she heard crying from a trash can near her.
"Hey, I hear crying coming from this trash can. I need you to come here." Sanchez told some EMTs who just happened to be there at the right time.
The baby was rushed to a local hospital and is reported to be making a recovery.
The police did find the mother of the child and she is also at a hospital receiving treatments.
For Sanchez, she hopes the mother gets the help she needs and realizes how lucky she is. "You should be grateful that I was in the right place at the right time."
Police have not released a statement on if the mother will be facing any criminal charges at this time.
